Privacy
We collect as little as possible. Here is what information we process, why, who helps us with it, and what rights you have.
Who is responsible?
The data controller is Peptideguiden. You can send questions about privacy to the editors, see Contact.
What information do we collect?
When you visit the site
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit the pages. The tool uses no cookies and does not track you across websites.
Google Tag Manager loads on every visit. It is a small script from Google that manages the measuring tools on the site, and when it loads, Google receives technical details such as your IP address and browser type.
Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Ahrefs Web Analytics only measure your visit if you consent to them in the cookie banner. Google Analytics shows which pages are read and how people find us. Microsoft Clarity shows how pages are used, for example where visitors click and scroll, and stores two cookies in your browser. Ahrefs Web Analytics counts visits and shows which sites send visitors to us. Without consent they set no cookies and send nothing. You can change your choice at any time through Cookie settings at the bottom of the page. Your choice is stored in your browser for 12 months.
When you sign up for the newsletter
We store your email address, whether you chose the Norwegian or English newsletter, the time you signed up and confirmed, the text you consented to, and the page you signed up from. You must confirm your sign-up through a link in an email before you receive newsletters. Sign-ups that are not confirmed are deleted after 30 days.
We do not store your IP address. To prevent misuse of the form, we store a code made from it for no more than one day.
Every newsletter has a link to unsubscribe. When you unsubscribe, we delete your email address from the list. Brevo keeps the address on a block list, so you do not receive more emails from us.
When you use the contact form
We store what you write in the form: your name if you give it, email address, subject, message, language and time. We only use the information to reply to you. Messages are deleted automatically after 12 months.
We do not store your IP address. To prevent misuse of the form, we store a code made from it for no more than one day.
What is stored in your browser
The website remembers three things in your browser, without sending them to us: your cookie choice, whether you want light or dark mode, and which steps of the guide you have read. You can delete this at any time by clearing the browser data for the site.
Why are we allowed to process the information?
- Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Ahrefs Web Analytics and the newsletter: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time.
- The contact form: our legitimate interest in replying to messages you send us.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics and protection against misuse of the forms: our legitimate interest in running a safe website. Neither identifies you.
- Google Tag Manager: our legitimate interest in managing the measuring tools on the site.
Who helps us?
- Cloudflare runs the website and stores the subscriber list and contact form messages, in the EU.
- Brevo sends the confirmation and the newsletter.
- Google provides Google Tag Manager on every visit, and Google Analytics only if you have consented.
- Microsoft provides Microsoft Clarity, only if you have consented.
- Ahrefs provides Ahrefs Web Analytics, only if you have consented.
We never sell your information, and we use no ad pixels.
Your rights
You have the right to access the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to withdraw your consent. If you are unhappy with how we process your information, you can complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
